Dear Jose-san,
In order to understand the entire background of the issue, Let me ask the following questions.
Original issue that your customer encountered first
Reading your issue description in CHLOE SNC-472, I understood that first problem that your customer encountered is that when they try to see the video via Playback viewer page of the ActiveX viewer, no recording entries were found in spite that they are quite sure that the motion-based recording are correctly set. So they and you came to a certain conclusion that recording information stored in the SD card was something wrong or even corrupted. Am I correct? I’m now wondering they reported that this issue was observed by all of their cameras (8/8).
Second issue that ActiveX viewer shows ‘Error’ message
Based on the assumption that motion-based recording may have a chance to give some bad effect since it will store number of recordings (which may grow up to something like 4000 for short period of time), they changed EdgeStorage configuration to do permanent recording. So here, you received couples of problem report that those cameras hang up, requiring system reboot to make it back again. Am I correct ?
Separate from the above question, could you please your customer/SI'er to do the following experiment in order to confirm what your customer firstly reported is same as what we understood.
Issue the following CGI command
http://ip_address/command/search?mode=simple
where 'ip_address' should be the exact IP address of the camera in question. You can issue the CGI command by entering this URL into the address bar of the browser (Internet Explorer).
Best regards,
