Setup
The 17 Pet cards are shuffled together with the rest of the cards. The game
setup is carried out as described in the base game rules. By using the 17 Pet
cards, the deck is a bit larger; however, it will have no serious impact on the
course of the game. The game may possibly last one additional round.
Each player gets one 4-point Pet Majority Marker in his color, which he
places gray side up in front of him at the beginning of the game.

The Pet Cards
The 17 Pets belong to the new “Person”
group called “Pets” .
The card layout is essentially identical to
the cards in the base game. Each Pet Card
can be used for each of the 6 actions.
The back side of the Pet card is somewhat
different than the base game cards. This is,
however, a purely visual difference.
A Pet card can, exactly like every other
card, be played as a house, and is worth
1 Victory Point at the end of the game
like other houses. People can also be
recruited, as usual, into a “Pet house”.
