The cereals fumigation with phosphi

The cereals fumigation with phosphine is an excellent treatment of disinfestations but it is a chemical type of treatment. The phosphine is a toxic gas and the use of this product must be done by a specialized company that has the authorization to use it, so we cannot use the phosphine directly in Agrover.

Moreover, it is possible use this product only on the raw material and not on the white rice (finished product). On the white rice it is not possible use chemical pesticides to avoid the contamination of the product.



Considering that the expiration of phosphine approval will be on 31/08/2019 and that the global directives are aimed to reduce the use of chemical pesticides and a lot of chemical fumigants have been banned during the last years, we are equipping in Agrover to use the CO2 treatment that is an efficient method of fumigation and it is allowed also on the organic rice. In fact, the application of CO2 represents a type of organic fumigation.
