More often than not, with migration issues, international legal issues need to be addressed. For instance the recognition, by the Dutch courts, of an overseas adoption or the establishment of paternity for a child born out of wedlock, overseas. International issues relating to individual and or family rights are often complicated not the least because of multiple foreign rules may apply, and be in conflict of one another.
