Four sites are selected as candidate of quarry.
-Borrow 3: tuff breccia located 1.5 km east to the dam site, Trumbu
-Quarry 1: diorite located 8.5 km south to the dam site, Merdinding
-Quarry 2: diorite located 7.2 km south to the dam site, Merdinding
-Quarry 3: welded tuff (P1) located 1 km upstream of dam site along the Percut River
Since rock materials are the main component of rock-fill dam, transportation cost of rock will affect the construction cost. In order to minimize the transportation cost, Quarry 3 with minimum transportation has been selected as best candidate place. As the result of geological investigation, Quarry 3 is selected as a Quarry site of rock material.
