Question: How do I obtain a trial license?
Answer: Login and request your trial here. If you do not already have one, please create a user account first. Since your request will be verified and processed manually, it may take a little time until the download is ready. While you wait, you may want to have a look into the User Manual (download found at bottom of the page) and make yourself acquainted with the powerful features of Synfire Pro.
Question: Is an iLok required to run the demo?
Answer: No. Merely the iLok License Manager needs to be installed.
Question: Is the demo also for Synfire Express?
Answer: Yes. Pro and Express editions are both included with the same demo.
Question: Why does the demo go online?
Answer: The demo connects to our website only to verify the trial license. No personal information is transmitted. A permanent connection is not necessary. You can go offline once the program is running.
Question: Can I run the demo on a computer that is not connected to the Internet?
Answer: Unfortunately not. We recommend you go online while the demo starts and then go offline again. Alternatively you may want to try the software on another computer that is online.
Question: Is the full product also required to go online?
Answer: No. The full version uses an iLok hardware USB key and is thus freely portable across as many computers you want. These computers do not need to be online.
Question: Can I extend my trial period?
Answer: Yes, sure! Please request an extension here. We are very flexible as to whether you might need 60 or more days in total to explore Synfire Pro.
