Thank you for this info, but unfortunately this is just 1 piece of the puzzle. I would rather receive from you a completed report/table/spreadsheet with pricing, delivery, comments, exclusions, etc… from at least 3 subcontractors and 1 from Hoya affiliate (if applicable).
This is especially critical when we are quoting large quantities like 100,000 pcs. in this case, or high priced items.
Perhaps the process should be: when a salesperson asks you for P&D info, you can respond with a table/spreadsheet indicating the 3 (or more) subcontractors that you are requesting quotes from AND when a reply from each one is expected. We can then also suggest additional subcontractors IF anyone knows/feels that another subcontractor not on your list can possibly also quote on the particular request. Then, once you receive all your replies, you can send it out to the group.
This would be a great topic to discuss as a group. We need to be more competitive and more efficient with our quote process.
