Pavilion Textiles is the name of our limited company and the brand we use for marketing sheer fabrics and packaged goods.
We are the largest supplier of sheer fabrics into the UK home furnishing market. In fairness, this is not such a big market but if anyone was asking for sheer fabrics in the UK, ours would be the first name on anyone’s lips.
The name ‘Pavilion’ was registered when the company was founded in 1989, making decorative bed canopies using patented canopy frames and exporting the canopies to many parts of the world. The name seemed appropriate given that a ‘Pavilion’ is a tented structure made of fabric, just as is a bed canopy. The company evolved many times since then but the name Pavilion remains suitable for the light airy sheer fabrics for which we have become known.
Vanilla is a trademark owned by Pavilion Textiles and it is under this brand we market our furnishing fabrics (fabrics other than sheers).
The idea behind the Vanilla brand is:
1. It doesn’t dilute the perception in the market that Pavilion is the first place to go for voiles and sheers.
2. Historically, vanilla flavouring has been associated with maintaining a calm and relaxed state of mind. Through our Vanilla fabrics, we aim to help create a calm and relaxed home for our customers to return to at the end of a busy day.
3. Again, just as vanilla flavourings are used in cooking to bring out the flavours of the other ingredients and create a well-balanced and tasty dish , we aim for our Vanilla fabrics to enhance the other ingredients in the house to make it a home with personality.
The second attachment is a photograph taken from inside Pavilion’s sheer fabrics division. The Pavilion Sheer Fabrics and Pavilion’s Vanilla Fabrics division share the factory and warehouse building shown in the first attachment.
I hope this gives some kind of impression of where the Pavilion brand has come from and what we are looking to achieve with our Vanilla Fabrics brand.
Let me know if there is anything more you require from us by way of a brand story.
